Insulation - Cavity Wall

On most days we are answering your property questions for free on our forum.

Take a look at one of the latest questions we've answered:-

Q -  My property is a ten year old ground floor flat. After having problems with mould, we have recently discovered that the cavity walls have little or no insulation contrary to the building spec for the property. We have been told that beading would not be suitable and our only option is thermal boards 40mm thick.

Can you recommend an alternative solution, or advise please

A - With regards to the property you say that you have little or no insulation and this is contrary to the building spec of the property. If you haven't already, we think the best option is to either contact the original builder and/or contact the NHBC who should be responsible for this if it's still under the NHBC 10 year guarantee.
