Unlike the buying/selling market, the rental market is at it's most active. When people don't buy and sell, they have to live somewhere, so they rent! Those that can't sell and still need to move are also turning to the rental market ot help them move on. However, as homes previously 'for sale' are now 'to let' the rental market has turned from a landlord to a tenant one in most areas!  READ MORE or scroll down for articles.

Headline Statistics
Please find below rental performance by region from Belvoir Lettings, which has over 145 offices across the UK. The Belvoir index shows rents rising 8% per annum by the end of June 2008 and rents falling by 4% per annum by the end of October 2008 due to increased supply of properties to rent from frustrated sellers.
